Milan, Italy: His Majesty the Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Sultan and the Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam also consented to hold a bilateral meeting with the President of the European Council, His Excellency Herman Van Rompuy at the Hotel Principe di Savoia, ©BRUDIRECT.COM reported.
His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam is currently in Milan for the 10th Asia-Europe Summit. During the bilateral meeting, His Majesty and His Excellency discussed and exchanged views on regional and international matters of mutual concerns.
Accompanying His Excellency to the meeting were the Special Advisor on External Affairs of the European Council, Mr. Pedro Serrano; Director for Asia for the European External Action Service (EEAS); Mr. Viorel Isticioaia Budura, and a member of the Cabinet of the President of the European Council, Mr. Fabio Della Piazza.
Also present were the Second Minister of Finance at the Prime Minister’s Office, Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Setia Dato Seri Setia Awg Hj Abd Rahman Hj Ibrahim; and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade II, Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Dewa Dato Seri Setia Lim Jock Seng.
