Archbishop of Canterbury pays courtesy call on Taib

KUCHING: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud received a courtesy call from the Archbishop of Canterbury, Most Reverend Justin Welby, and his entourage yesterday.

Assistant Minister of Welfare Robert Lawson Chuat accompanied the entourage on the visit. The entourage is here for a two-day working visit.

Later, Taib also received a similar call from the High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Malaysia, His Excellency AKM Atiqur Rahman.

Among those present was Archbishop of South East Asia Most Reverend Datuk Bolly Lapok.
