SIBU: Six men suspected to have assaulted two men at Durin Bazaar near here at 10pm on Monday were arrested around 10am on Tuesday.
The suspects in their teens to 20s were picked up from a longhouse in Durin.
In the incident, the victims aged 17 and 24 were with seven other men on their way to a cyber cafe when the suspects showed up.
The victims suffered facial injuries and were sent by friends to Sibu Hospital. They lodged a police report that night.
One of the victims, a 17-year-old, received 10 stitches on his face.
Meanwhile, a 56-year-old labourer almost had his pinkie of the right hand severed when it got stuck in a cement mixer.
The incident happened at about 8am yesterday at a construction site in Sibu Jaya.
He was rushed to ibu Hospital by his colleagues.
