MIRI: Police arrested a suspected chargrill table thief at the wee hours yesterday at Jalan Permaisuri here.
The suspect, caught on closed-circuit television (CCTV) entering the premises, was nabbed seven hours after he and his accomplice carted away the chargrill table placed outside an entertainment outlet.
According to sources, the suspect was recognised via the CCTV footage image, that match an individual’s image seen entering a nearby premises that morning.
The sources added that the suspect and his accomplice have sold the chargrill table for RM40.
Acting on a tip-off, a police team dashed to the premise and nabbed the suspect who was brought to Miri centre police station.
