Pahang qualify for Malaysia Cup final

KUANTAN: Malaysia Cup defending champions, Pahang have cruised into the Malaysia Cup final after crushing Kedah with a 6-3 aggregate after the second leg of the semi-final at Darul Makmur Stadium, here, tonight.

Pahang had a goal feast at their homeground by blasting Kedah 5-0.

In the first leg at Darul Aman Stadium, Pahang lost 1-3.

Pahang’s goal came as early as the fourth minute when Matias Ruben Conti headed in a corner kick by Azidan Sarudin.

Pahang continued to hit past Kedah’s goalkeeper in the 25th minute and 29th minute to lead 3-0.

Conti scored a hattrick in the 36th minute when he netted Pahang’s fourth goal.

In the 73rd minute, Dickson Nwakaeme made a run from the midfield to score Pahang’s fifth goal.

Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) president Tengku Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah and Pahang Football Association president were present at the match. — BERNAMA
