DPM’s wife heads list of 80 people honoured at Pahang Sultan’s birthday investiture

PEKAN: Puan Sri Noorainee Abdul Rahman, wife of Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, led 80 people who received awards and medals in conjunction with the 84th birthday of the Sultan of Pahang, Sultan Ahmad Shah, at the Istana Abu Bakar here yesterday.

Noorainee was one of the 20 recipients of the Darjah Sri Sultan Ahmad Shah (SSAP) which carries the title ‘Datuk Seri’.

The Tengku Mahkota of Pahang, Tengku Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah, presented the awards and medals at the Throne Room of the palace.

The other recipients of the SSAP included Datin Seri Junaini Kassim, wife of the Pahang menteri besar; Tengku Datin Seri Marsilla Tengku Abdullah, wife of the Defence Minister, and Datin Seri Khamarzan Ahmed Meah, wife of the International Trade and Industry Minister.

Works Minister Datuk Fadillah Yusof; Director-General of Education Datuk Khair Mohamad Yusof and Pahang Police chief Datuk Sharifuddin Abdul Ghani.

Seven people received the Darjah Sri Indera Mahkota Pahang (SIMP) which carries the title ‘Datuk’.

They included Datin Seri Umi Kalsom Wan Awang, wife of the Chief of Army; Perkep Malaysia chairman Puan Sri Dr Imran Ibrahim; Pahang state assemblyman for Tahan Datuk Wan Amizan Wan Abdul Razak; Pahang Lands and Mines Director Datuk Azizan Ahmad and retiree Datuk Omar Othman.

Ten people received the Darjah Sultan Ahmad Shah Pahang (DSAP) and 20, the Darjah Indera Mahkota Pahang (DIMP). Both awards carry the title ‘Datuk’.

Three people received the Darjah Setia Ahmad Shah Pahang (SAP); three, the Darjah Setia Mahkota Pahang (SMP); four, the Darjah Ahli Ahmad Shah Pahang (AAP); five, the Ahli Mahkota Pahang (AMP); three, the Pingat Kelakuan Terpuji (PKT) and four, the Pingat Jasa Kebaktian (PJK).
