Idris resigns as PKR Petra Jaya deputy chief

Kuching: Deputy chief of PKR Petra Jaya Idris Bohari has announced his resignation from the post and is completely withdrawing from the party with immediate effect.

He said this in a press release issued today, explaining that he was resigning to focus on family.

“My mother’s advise to me. ‘It is high time for you to stop getting involve as the opposition’s political dissident. Look, our own lives has becoming very difficult. Your children has grown andneed attention.”

The political candidate who fought and lost the Pantai Damai seat under the PKR banner during the 2006 state elections said that he will be putting PKR completely behind him, pledging to actively take part in NGO-work.

“I will give fullest support to BN Sarawak under the leadership of YAB Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Adenan bin Satem,” he added.
