KAPIT: Red Baron edge Bomba FT by a single goal in the final to lift the Sports League For All futsal title held at the Integrated Sports Complex at Jalan Bleteh recently.
The competition was part of the Sports League For All (Liga Sukan Untuk Semua) programme organised and sponsored by the Youth and Sports Department Kapit, held from Oct 10 to 25 held at various venues here.
Red Baron won cash prize of RM1,000 while second-placed Bomba FT received RM600. Third place went to ZZ Team after defeating Accurate FT 3-1 in the playoff.
They received RM400 and RM200 respectively.
Meanwhile, Spring’s FT won the women’s title after beating Ouna 1-0 in the final. Green Apple team came in third place after defeating Cekerai Mendalai 2-0. The winners received RM400, RM300, RM200 and RM100 each respectively.
A total of 20 teams took part in the men’s futsal while six teams competed in the women category.
Other events held in the sports league programme include nine-a-side football, netball, sepak takraw, ping pong and 3-on-3 basketball.
Kapit Youth and Sports officer Jack Janda Pioh officiated at the closing ceremony.
