Banjarese in Malaysia want direct flights To Banjamasin

BANJARMASIN, South Kalimantan: Banjar tribal coomunity incorporated in Pertubuhan Banjar Malaysia want direct flights from Kuala Lumpur airport to Syamsudin Noor Airport Banjarmasin and vice versa, Antaranews reported.

This was revealed in a meeting between the Malaysian Pertubuhan Banjar and Banjar Banua Kulaan Forum Gathering (FSKB) South Kalimantan, in Sungai Manik, Perak State of Malaysia, last week, said a member of FSBK Amanul Yakin here on Wednesday.

In conversations with dozens of Banjar ethnic figures, almost all of them curious to see their ancestor’s land (South Kalimantan). But most of them do not know exactly how to do this visit, because they expect direct flights between the cities in the neighboring countries.

So far flights between the two cities always have to transit through Jakarta, Surabaya, or Balikpapan, making it less efficient.
