PLTS auction in Tabalong successful

TANJUNG, South Kalimantan: The Tabalong Mines and Energy Agency will realize the construction of Solar Power Plant or PLTS in the Salikung village, Subdistrict of Muara Uya, Antaranews reported.

Electricity Inspector of Tabalong Mines and Energy Agency (Distamben), Rizky Maulana, here on Thursday said the auction of the PLTS project was successful and the winner is CV Bahana Hisany Mandiri.

“Previous auction failed for four times, that is why the procurement of 70 units of the new PLTS in Village of Salikung to be realized in 2015,” said Rizki.

The PLTS built with the capacity of 3,000 watts using the district budget funds. While the previous concentrated solar power with capacity of 15 kWp built in the village of Panaan and Dambung Raya, Subdistrict of Bintang Ara, were assistance of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources for hundreds of families in the region have not enjoyed electricity, said Rizki.

Not only in Salikung, PLTS program for remote village also carried out in the remote indigenous communities (KAT), in the village of Kuwari, Subdistrict of Bintang Ara.

Meanwhile, from the results of a survey in 2010, 1,084 households in Tabalong have not reached electricity yet. Local government tries to meet the electricity needs of the citizens by building 150 units of solar power by 2012 and 172 units in 2013 using district budget. In addition there are 80 solar units built using provincial budget.

Tabalong targets the development of 170 units this year had to be postponed in 2015 due to constrained in auction process.

PLTS 170 units planned to be built, namely in the village of Kalingai for as many as 78 houses, in Salikung for 75 houses and KAT for 17 houses.
