JOHOR BAHARU: Telekom Malaysia Bhd (TM) is set to expand the infrastructure network and high-speed broadband (HSBB) service in the new phase of Bandar Seri Alam housing development near here.
Johor TM vice president, Azhar Omar, said the company understood the needs of the consumers to have quality Internet services and be fully-equipped in this strategic area of the state.
“The cooperation would not only benefit TM and the housing developer it would also benefit the house buyers who would become TM customers for free,” he told reporters after signing the agreement with Seri Alam Properties Sdn Bhd yesterday.
The agreement is an extension of the service agreement which was signed with the developer in February 2011.
Also present were deputy director of Johor Science, Technology and ICT unit, Mohd Johari Tarmidi and executive director of Seri Alam Properties, Freddie Lee.
Meanwhile, Lee said the cooperation with TM was in line with the company’s efforts to provide ‘smart’ home concept under phase 5B4 Emerald Residenz which was expected to be completed next year.
“With this cooperation, we believe our mission to offer quality lifestyle to our buyers will be realised,” he said. — Bernama
