MIRI: A female pillion rider sustained injuries on her right leg when a motorcycle that she was riding on with a friend was involved in an accident with a lorry at Jalan Kubu yesterday.
The incident occurred around 5.15pm.
The victim’s leg was said to have been stuck between the lorry’s rear tyres.
According to sources, the victim and her friend was travelling in the same direction with the lorry.
Immediately after the traffic light turned green, both vehicles headed towards Marina Park.
However, it is still not known how the motorcycle crashed into the moving lorry.
A distress call was made and an ambulance from Miri Hospital was despatched to the scene.
The victim was then rushed to the hospital.
