SIBU: Ten teams are vying for the tennis championship for the President’s Cup starting today at Bukit Lima Stadium here.
The three-day event is staged by Sibu Division Lawn Tennis Association (SDLTA).
SDLTA vice president Simon Tiong has called on local tennis enthusiasts to support the event.
The competition format has no seeding for teams and is fixed through open draw.
Each team can register up to eight players and each tie will feature three doubles.
The top three teams will receive cash prizes of RM1000, RM500 and RM250.
A lucky draw carrying 10 prizes sponsored by TN Sports will also be held on Nov 9.
