BINTULU: Homegrown engineering company Amalgamated Plant Engineering Sdn Bhd has done the state proud by winning the World Quality Commitment (WOC) Award and International Europe Award for Quality (IEAQ).

The honours were presented by the European-based Global Trade Leaders Club at two ceremonies in Paris, France – Oct 25 and 27, respectively. The WOC Award is an accomplishment given to companies for their corporate achievement as well as as a recognition of their leadership, quality, innovation, excellence, technology, customer service and prestige. The WOC Convention took place at the Hyatt Regency Paris Hotel.
On the other hand, the IEAQ is an award bestowed on companies of renowned international quality and prestige, which have extensive commercial network in Europe. It also promotes companies that aim for excellence in quality. This time, the event was held at Le Meridian Etoile Paris.
Amalgamated provides mechanical engineering maintenance services, and is specialised in contracting services and technical support in the provision of mechanical services for the oil and gas industry.
The local firm was represented by its managing director Jun Ngau Wan at both ceremonies.
