KUALA LUMPUR: Singaporean drag racer, Kwek Kon Chun, and professional photographer, Franco Toh, were killed in a car accident while entering the city from Sepang near Desa Petaling early yesterday.
Kuala Lumpur staff officer for traffic investigation and regulation, DSP S Markandan said the luxury Porsche car they were travelling was believed to have skidded, crashed into the guardrail on the side of the road and overturned in the mishap which occurred at 2.45 am.
Kwek, 35, and Franco, 43, died at the scene, he said in a statement here yesterday.
It is learnt that Kwok used to participate in drag racing championship in Malaysia, including the Supercar Drag Race at the Sepang International Circuit.
The bodies were taken to Kuala Lumpur Hospital for post mortem. — Bernama
