BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: His Majesty the Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Muizzaddin Waddaulah, the Sultan and the Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday consented to receive in audience the Chiefs of Justice from Malaysia and the Republic of Singapore who are in the country to attend the Third Joint Judicial Conference between Brunei Darussalam, Malaysia and Singapore 2014. The audience ceremony took place at the Istana Nurul Iman, Brudirect reported.
His Majesty consented to received an audience to the Chief Justice of the Republic of Singapore, the Honourable Sundaresh Menon; the President of the Court of Appeal of Malaysia, the Honourable Tan Sri Md Raus Sharif and the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Brunei Darussalam, the Honourable Dato Seri Paduka Awg Hj Kifrawi Dato Paduka Hj Kifli.
Also present during the audience were the President of the Court of Appeal of Brunei Darussalam, the Honourable John Barry Mortimer; the High Court Judge, the Honourable Dato Paduka Steven Chong Wan Oon; The High Court Judge, the Honourable Dato Paduka Awg Hj Hairol Arni Hj Abd Majid; Judicial Commissioner and Chief Registrar of Supreme Court, Pg Hjh Rostaina Pg Hj Duraman and Permanent Secretary of Law and Welfare at the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), Dato Paduka Awg Hj Md Juanda Hj Abd Rashid.
