KUALA LUMPUR: The retail price of RON97 petrol will be reduced by 20 sen a litre, from RM2.75/litre to RM2.55/litre throughout the country effective today.
Deputy Finance Minister Datuk Ahmad Maslan confirmed the matter on his Twitter account yesterday. A copy of the letter to the effect sent by the Finance Ministry to Petronas Dagangan Berhad was uploaded with his Twitter posting.
The price of the fuel is determined by managed float, and depends on market forces. — Bernama
