MIRI: Police yesterday morning collared a teenage boy suspected to be involved with the missing jewelleries belonging to his neighbour in Kampung Sealine, Lutong.

The suspect had been brought to Miri central police station (CPS) to facilitate police investigation.

The 15 year-old juvenile was nabbed after his accomplice who was detained by the police earlier that day revealed his name in connection with the theft.

According to sources, the suspects had sold the jewelleries for RM3,000 to a buyer.

The sources added that the suspects had gone into the victim’s house the middle of this month and took the jewelleries.

The victim however, only realised the jewelleries were missing recently. Fearing that burglars might have gone into their house, they immediately lodged a police report. Acting on a tip-off, police nabbed the first suspect on Monday evening.
