KUCHING : Cash prizes totalling RM3,000 await the winners of the Utusan Borneo Cup 2014 open that will be held on December 13 and 14 at the Coneli Futsal Stadium at Jalan Batu Kawa – Matang.
A spokesman for the organising committee Saibi Gi said that winning team will earn RM1,200 cash , a trophy , medals and certificates, while the runner-up RM800, trophies, medals and certificates.
Two third place winners will receive RM500, medals and certificates.
The competition is only open to men’s category and for teams residing within Kuching and the surrounding area.
The main objective of the competition is to promote Utusan Borneo to the public and encourage people, especially the youth to be more involved in sports.
Participation is limited to 32 teams and entries will be selected on a first come, first served basis.
Each team will be charged a participation fee of RM150.
Submission forms are available in Utusan Borneo, The Borneo Post office located on the 2nd Floor, Crown Towers, Jalan Pending, in all Coneli sports shops and the Coneli Futsal Stadium.
The final date for team submissions is December 7th at 5pm, while meeting and balloting will be held on December 8 at 2 pm at Coneli Futsal Stadium.
