Police, Air Force launch public patrol collaboration

LABUAN: Labuan police continued their engagement with the community here by organising a Client Day at Kampung Patau-Patau II on Saturday.

Police chief Superintendent Adzhar Othman said they were meeting around 200 villagers in the village where some activities were held during the programme.

“We are committed to continue our high-profile policing with the local society,” he said, adding that among the activities held during the programme were crime and safety talk, women’s talk by the peace lady unit, games, exhibition and others.

He said that some 60 women in the village had been registered as  members of peace lady (Amanita) to help the police in combating criminal elements in the neighbourhood.

Teenagers and children were also given the opportunity to ride on police vehicles to expose them to facets of a police career, he added.

Meanwhile, in the evening, the police and Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) launched their collaboration in public patrol (Rapat 1M) for Labuan Federal Territory at Rancha Rancha Housing Area, Kampung Batu Arang. RMAF was represented by Dato’ Ansar Ali Majeth.
