MIRI: Miri Narcotics police on Sunday apprehended an unemployed man in front of a church in Lutong for suspected drug addiction. Police made the arrest around 3pm, acting on a public tip-off.
During the arrest, police seized a small packet containing several pieces of crystals suspected to be syabu weighing 1.05gm.
The suspect tested positive for drugs when brought to Miri Narcotics office for a urine test. He is being detained at Miri Central Police Station.
The case is being investigated under Section 12(2) and 15(1) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
