KUCHING: Gang robbery at four reflexology centres in Padungan and Sekama here were considered solved with the arrest of five suspects.
According to Kuching deputy police chief Supt Fauzilan Abdul Aziz, the men, aged 21 to 23, were picked up from Jalan Bunga Raya in Satok, Gita and Rampangi area.
“Following a tip-off, they were arrested between 12.30pm and 5pm last Saturday.
“Also seized from them was a car believed used in committing the crime between 10pm and 4am on Nov 2 to 16, armed with a knife,” said Fauzilan, adding that one of the suspects had a criminal record for car theft.
“No injury was reported,” he added.
About RM2,000 cash was taken together with three mobile phones and a gold necklace.
All the suspects were remanded in police custody for seven days to facilitate investigations under Section 395/397 of the Penal Code.
