KKB procures RM43.9 million steel pipes job

KUCHING: KKB Engineering Bhd (KKB) has secured a contract for the supply and delivery of concrete-lined mild steel pipes worth RM43.9 million.

The company told Bursa Malaysia yesterday that its subsidiary, Harum Bidang Sdn Bhd (Harum Bidang) had on November 24 accepted and signed a two-year contract with CMS Infra Trading Sdn Bhd (CMS Infra Trading) for the job.

A written agreement will be entered into between Harum Bidang and CMS Infra Trading in due course.

Cahya Mata Sarawak Bhd (CMS) is a major shareholder of the company while CMS Infra Trading is a subsidiary of CMS. The contract award is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets of KKB Group for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2015 and Dec 31, 2016.
