SIBU: A mechanic from Kapit is seeking assistance from the public to get his wife who has not returned home for about three weeks to come home.
Roy Eddy, 25, said his wife Grody Elot, 22, left their longhouse Rumah Labaw at Teluk Gimang in Baleh, Kapit on Nov 7.
She left their two daughters aged three and five to her mother’s care.
Roy, who works at a timber camp in Papua New Guinea, returned home as soon as he learned about his wife leaving home.
He said he had telephoned his wife many times to persuade her to return home but each time she replied via text messages.
“She said she is now working in Bintulu,” he said when lodging a report at Sibu central police station here yesterday.
Roy said he was worried because there was no one to look after his daughters as he must return to his workplace on Dec 6.
