KUALA LUMPUR: An earthquake measuring 6.4 on the Richter Scale was detected in the north Molucca Sea at 10.33pm tonight.
The Malaysian Meterological Department, in a statement here, said the earthquake’s epicentre was 151km north-east of Bitung, Indonesia and 931km south east of Semporna.
However, no tsunami threat was detected, the statement said. — BERNAMA
