LAWAS: Second Minister of Resource Planning and Environment Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan is apparently pleased with the organisers of three major events held here recently.
Saying that the tasks demanded teamwork, commitment, and dedication, he treated those involved in putting the show together to an appreciation dinner at Hotel Seri Malaysia on Monday.
The three events were Pesta Lawas; Pan Borneo Coop Fest; and One District, One Industry Festival.
“It is a challenging task, but the involvement of the private sector, individuals, donors and relevant government agencies made it a success,” he said.
Awang Tengah also commended PBB Bukit Sari Youth, Malaysian Cooperatives Commission, and Mara for their active involvement in Pesta Lawas.
He later led guests to enjoy the evening with songs and dances.
His wife Datuk Dayang Morliah Awang Daud, Lawas MP Datuk Henry Sum Agong, Bukit Kota assemblymen Dr Abdul Rahman Ismail, Batu Danau assemblyman Paulus Palu Gumbang and Lawas District Officer Hussaini Hakim were also present.
