Businessman loses RM900 in phone call deal

SIBU: A businessman in his 30s selling pet fish claimed he lost RM900 in a business deal over phone calls.

He said a man called him wanting to supply him pet fish and he was told to pay RM900 before he could get the goods.

After making the payment, he was told to go to the house of a purported former gangster Lee Long to get the goods.

When no one came out from the house one hour later, the complainant lodged a police report.

In another case CCTV camera footage caught a man hurling fireworks at a house at Lane 1, Kulas Road early yesterday morning.

A car, a 4-wheel-drive vehicle and the ceiling and roof of the house were damaged.

A police report had been lodged.
