The futuristic study perspective of MDIS is reflected in its innovative building.

SIBU: GES GLOBAL Educational Services (M) Sdn Bhd specialising in higher education service is promoting study at the Management Development Institute of Singapore (MDIS) which is committed to high educational standard.

A spokesman for GES Global said the institution was Singapore’s oldest non-profit professional institute for lifelong learning.

He said its success was proven in its commitment, for which it was awarded the EduTrust certification by the Council for Private Education in 2010.

“MDIS set up its first overseas campus in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan in Central Asia, and its second university college at Iskandar, Johor Bahru in Malaysia.”

Situated in the heart of Queenstown in Singapore, the institution is easily accessible.

“Shuttle bus is available every Monday to Saturday with a short 15 minutes’ ride to Orchard Road. The MDIS Residences is integrated with the Stirling campus and is the first hostel in Singapore to be awarded the Green Mark Gold Plus Award.”

He said the hostel provided eco-friendly features so students can live, learn and play in an interactive and conducive environment. It had recreational facilities such as amphitheatre, gymnasium and badminton courts.

The camps are Wi-Fi enabled, allowing access to the Web anywhere on campus, and the institution offers a comprehensive range of well-accredited programmes from professional certificates to doctoral programmes.

Among the most popular are Business and Management, Engineering, Fashion Design, Information Technology, Life Sciences, Mass Communications, Psychology and Travel, Tourism and Hospitality Management.

They are offered in collaboration with highly acclaimed Northumbria University at Newcastle, University of Sunderland, Nottingham Trent University, Bangor University, University of West England, University of Bradford, Oklahoma City University and Southern Cross University.

The spokesman said students graduating from the institution would be awarded degrees same as that on-campus overseas, with the benefit of shorter duration, lower tuition fees and affordable living expenses.

“Certain degrees can be completed in 27 months. Students who complete SPM can enter directly into MDIS without having to obtain IELTS as long as they meet the English requirement at SPM level.”

He said only actual SPM results were accepted.

Upon graduation, students have the opportunity to work in Singapore, especially in areas with increasing demand including biomedical sciences, interactive and digital media which relies on international talent, electronics and IT and financial services.
