SARIKEI: SK St Anne produced 25 straight-A scorers in this year’s Ujian Pencapaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR), coming in 10th in terms of highest number of 5A-scorers in the state.

However, headmaster Joseph Wong said this was a drop compared to the 35 straight-A scorers last year.

On the other hand, the school average grade (GPS) saw an improvement of 0.08 from 1.83 last year to 1.75 this year, he said, adding that the overall pass rate had also improved from 75.74 per cent last year to 88.28 per cent this year.

He said the school was again the top in the division.

The top scorers were Andrew Wong, Arthur Hii, Briggitte Chemenda Janting Robin, Christine Insin Bajeng, Claudio Reyna Rio Entalai, Dianne Liah Usik, Doris Chan, Dylan Wong, Eileen Mau, Gloria Riau Demong, Grace Ling, Ian Juel Oliver, Isaac Sim, Izzah Zulaikha Mohd Zaidi, Janet Ling, Jennie Chua, Jolene Lau, Jonathan Joseph, Lionel Lazlus, Liong Tzuen Yeong, Muhammad Faiz Bolkiah, Raphael Kong, Stephanie Bacha Menari, Tan Bing Rong and Tan Bing Shin.
