KUALA LUMPUR: Gerakan has been allocated RM2 million in education fund by the City College of Business Management Kuala Lumpur to help deserving poor students to pursue diploma studies.
Gerakan Youth deputy chief Andy Yong Kim Seng said the fund would be utilised, among others, to be given as scholarship to students with excellent result in their Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM).
He said students who obtained 6As and above in their SPM would be given full scholarship, while those with 4As and 5As would receive 50 per cent scholarship.
The selected students would be given a choice to either study at the City College of Business Management Kuala Lumpur or the Pacific College Kuantan, he told reporters here.
He advised students with good SPM results, but could not afford to pursue studies, to apply for the loan facility from Gerakan.
They can do so by going to the Gerakan office nearest to them, or call 014-9665281 for further information, he added. -Bernama
