KOTA KINABALU: Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Tan Sri Joseph Kurup has advised the media to avoid reports carrying racist and religious-sensitive content so as to maintain peace and harmony in the country.

He said the media should adopt a proactive stance and adhere to ethics in disseminating to the people information on solidarity.

“By writing comprehensive news, features and articles on solidarity, the media can provide value added to strengthen understanding and awareness in the people, particularly youths, on the importance of maintaining stability and peace,” he said. — Bernama
