KUCHING: An injured man created a ruckus at Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) on Saturday night when he refused treatment, stormed out and attempted to leave on someone else’s motorbike.

The man, in his early 30s, had earlier been sent to the hospital by a friend for treatment of injuries on the forehead believed sustained in a fight at Batu Kawa Newtownship.

After getting him admitted to the yellow zone, his friend left but the man, who was believed to be intoxicated, stormed out.

He headed to the motorcycle parking spot in SGH compound where he tried to remove the helmet from the bike, but this drew the attention of members of the public.

The Civil Defence Department personnel who happened to see the incident tried to stop him but he insisted that the bike was his.

The bike owner arrived at the parking spot and after confirming that it was his, police were alerted and the intoxicated man brought to the police station.
