“Initial police investigation showed that the trailer truck was making a turn at the roundabout to head towards Tambunan from Jalan Lintas, when he heard a loud bang coming from the rear of his trailer. A Mitsubishi four-wheel-drive vehicle subsequently rammed into the two motorcycles that were tailing the trailer truck.

Azmir said the victims’ bodies have been taken to the QEH for a post mortem, whlie family members of the deceased have been notified accordingly of the incident. He added that the third injured victim is still being treated in the same hospital and is reportedlt in stable condition.

“Police have detained both drivers of the trailer and the four-wheel-drive vehicle to assist in police investigation,” said Azmir, while urging eyewitness to come forward to assist police in their investigation.
