MIRI: Swift actions by firemen from Lopeng fire station saved a vacant building in Kampung Senadin here from being destroyed by fire yesterday morning.
Seven firemen in a fire engine dashed to the scene on receiving a distress call around 5am and arrived at 5.40am.
The scene was located about 15km from the fire station.
The fire was completely under controlled around 6.30am.
The actual caused of the fire have yet to be determined but preliminary investigation showed that the fire, which started from an office inside the building, had destroyed 30 per cent of it.
