MIRI: The Miri City Council (MCC) is gearing towards conscientious planning, in order to record another success, for the 10th anniversary celebration of this city next year.
The anniversary celebration logo will be launched next January, with the actual date to be announced later.
MCC will print 10,000 copies of the anniversary celebration programme booklet with the theme ‘Beautiful Resort City’.
Organisers, corporations, associations, agencies or non-governmental organisations (NGOs) who have not submitted their proposals for the year-long celebrations can do so not later than Dec 24 this year.
The booklets will be used for publicity and guidelines for the public and tourists to know what and when the events that will take place and include organisers contact numbers.
According to MCC, the booklet would be more exciting as it expects over 100 events to be listed.
The council wants to have at least one mega event monthly next year in an effort to lure more tourists as well as visitors from the neighbouring country to visit the city.
