KUCHING: The body of a man was found inside a burger stall in Bandar Baru Semariang here.
The lifeless body of Suhaimi Ibrahim from Bandar Samariang, 26, without shoes, was discovered lying on his left side by the burger stall owner at about 12.30pm.
The forensic team confirmed there was no sign of any weapon at the scene while pathologists found no trace of fresh wounds but an old injury on the head of the victim.
No witnesses had come forward as at press-time.
According to the police, the victim’s sister met him at about 7pm on Christmas Day during when she was told that it could be the last time she would see him.
The police have yet to classify the case as a post mortem to determine the cause of death would only be conducted today (Dec 27).
