MIRI: A pregnant mother was amongst four who survived a self-accident that occurred near a traffic light intersection at Marina Park here yesterday morning.
According to eye-witnesses, the victim was a pillion rider on a motorcycle with her husband and two toddlers when the mishap occurred around 11.30am.
“They sped off when the traffic light turned green but it went out of control and crashed onto a sub-station’s concrete wall,” an eye witness said.
He added that the impact threw them off the motorcycle.
Two ambulances from Miri hospital dashed to the scene after receiving a distress call on the incident.
The mother sustained injury on her left leg, her husband suffered injuries to the body, while the two toddlers escaped unhurt.
