KUALA LUMPUR: The Tourism and Culture Ministry, through the National Department For Culture And Arts (JKKN), has launched a Natural Disaster Aid Fund Mission at a popular shopping complex here.
JKKN senior director Rosli Osman, who is also mission coordinator, said the centre to collect contributions in cash and kind was opened at 11am until 10pm.
Several popular artistes such as Datuk David Arumugam and Jaclyn Victor were also involved in a charity concert to collect donations.
“We also opened booths to collect cash and items outside the shopping complex while the artistes will perform inside in a charity concert,” he told Bernama. — Bernama
