SERIAN: The St Theresa’s Parish Council brought joy to the people through carolling sessions held from Dec 18.
Christmas gifts from local well wishers and the archdiocese of Kuching were distributed to children at Christmas parties at Kampung Meboi, Kampung Munggu Kopi and Kampung Krait, according to a press release.
The church was packed for the Christmas Eve Mass conducted in Bidayuh by rector Fr Paul Herry at 10pm with live telecast by RTM WAIfm Bidayuh.
The Christmas Day Mass in English was conducted by Fr Pavulu Arockyara at 8.30am.
Serian town was flooded with vehicles and people doing their shopping as early as Dec 20.
The insufficient parking lots resulted in wrongful and illegal parking during the busy period. However, the traffic flow was under control with police assistance.
