ACC provides opportunity for riders to qualify for world championship

KUALA LUMPUR: The 35th Asian Cycling Championship (ACC) in Nakhorn Ratchasima, Thailand from Feb 4 to 14 provides a good opportunity for national cyclists to qualify for the World Track Cycling Championship (WTCC).

The WTCC will be held in Saint Quentin En Yvelines, France from Feb 18 to  22 Feb.

“They have to try to win the first podium position in order to qualify as the Asian Continent Champion,” Malaysian National Cycling Federation Datuk deputy president Naim Mohamad said.

The cyclists who will compete at the ACC are Josiah Ng, Mohd Azizulhasni Awang, Muhammad Firdaus Mohd Zionis, Fateha Mustapa, Jupha Somnet and Farina Shah Wati Mohd Adnan. — Bernama
