Pilot Casa NC212 Marine First Lieutenant (P) Renggo in Kotabaru on Thursday said the original plan around 17:00 fly to Surabaya to carry two bodies and other items.
“But until now ships to evacuate the bodies to Maradapan, Pulau Sembilan, had not yet arrived at the Port of Kotabaru, then we should delay the flight to Friday (16/1) morning,” he said.
Officer Section of Administration and Logistics of Kotabaru Naval Base Captain Darsono explain till Thursday around 17:00 pm, the ship KP Sadewa can not docked to Maradapan Island, Pulau Sembilan.
It was due to high waves occur in the waters of the island
and surrounding areas, he said. Previously, KP Sadewa carrying about 40 personnel of the combined team hit a sandbar and agrounded in Batulicin waters.
According to the information the ship which carry out the evacuation, intercepted by wave reaches 2-3 meters high.
