IMEC-Unimas partnership offers four post-graduate programmes

KUALA LUMPUR: The International Malaysia Education Centre (IMEC) and Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (Unimas) have sealed a partnership agreement to offer four Unimas post-graduate programmes.

Unimas vice-chancellor, Prof Datuk Dr Mohamad Kadim Suaidi, said with the partnership, Unimas now has established its first learning centre in Peninsular Malaysia.

The agreement was signed by Mohamad Kadim and Country Heights Holdings Bhd Group chief executive officer Dianna Lee here yesterday.

“The courses, which have obtained accreditation from the Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA), include Master of Advance Information Technology, Corporate Master in Business Administration, Master of Science in Human Resource Development and Masters in Learning Sciences.

“IMEC’s conducive learning environment would bring potential benefits in line with the Economic Transformation Programme to make the country a developed nation by 2020,” Mohamad Kadim said, adding the cost of the post-graduates programmes started from RM8,500 per annum.

“There are three intakes yearly – February, July and September. The first intake is expected to start this July.

Meanwhile, Lee said, although Country Heights is known as a property developer for 30 years, the company believed that its motto ‘Ever Searching for Better Living’ included having a better education for society.
