KUCHING: Samsung Malaysia Electronics (Samsung Malaysia) has recently unveiled its highly anticipated GALAXY A3 and A5, offering premium designs but affordable prices targeted at Malaysia’s young consumers.
The GALAXY A3 and A5, Samsung’s latest additions to its commendable arsenal of quality smartphones, are available in a variety of colours and sizes, and both devices are designed to empower younger consumers to quickly and easily capture meaningful moments, connect to social media and share their daily lives.
“As more young people are getting smartphones, social networks apps are booming, feeding in turn the selfie craze that has swept over the world in the past years.
“The GALAXY A5 and GALAXY A3 jump on the selfie bandwagon and further redefine it with their signature wide selfie feature, which complement the needs of a highly digitally connected and style conscious youth audience,” said Lee Jui Siang, vice president, Mobile, IT and Digital Imaging, Samsung Malaysia.

The GALAXY A5 and A3 are Samsung’s slimmest smartphones to date, featuring refined full metal unibody designs that are 6.7 millimetres (mm) and 6.9mm thin, respectively.
Stylish and sleek, the GALAXY A5 and A3 are slim enough to slide into your pocket and hold comfortably in the palm.
The GALAXY A5 and A3 are also equipped with refined full metal unibody design and both devices will come in a variety of catchy hues, including Pearl White, Midnight Black, Platinum Silver, and Champagne Gold.
Some of the new Samsung smartphone models’ highlights also include features to meet the demands of shutterbugs.
The Samsung GALAXY A5 and A3 are equipped with 5MP front-facing camera with the innovative Wide Selfie mode.
The new GALAXY A5 and A3 are also armed with LTE Category 4 which makes it easier to quickly share photos or videos on social media channels.
Taking its cue from the flagship GALAXY mobile device experience, the GALAXY A Series is equipped with Samsung’s iconic Super AMOLED display and Adaptive Display technology to deliver clearer images with deep contrast and better viewing angles for more vivid, colourful content in virtually any environment, even under bright sunlight.
The GALAXY A5 and A3 will be available at the recommended retail price of RM1,199 and RM899 respectively from January 9 onwards at all Samsung Experience Stores and Samsung authorised dealers.
The GALAXY A7 is also expected to reach Malaysian shores in February 2015.
