Minister of Education Monitors Students’ Progress

BRUNEIMUARA: The Ministry of Education is striving to achieve the ninety per cent Grade A to C passes goal in the Primary School Assessment or PSR 2017 examinations, ©BRUDIRECT.COM reported.

The Ministry also plays a vital role to ensure teaching and learning always improves for national excellence. In relation to this, the Minister of Education made a working visit to two Primary Schools in the Brunei-Muara District yesterday.

Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia Dr. Hj Awg Abu Bakar Hj Apong first visited the Penglima Barudin Limau Manis Primary School to take a close look at the teaching and learning processes there.

The Minister then went to visit the Junjungan Primary School.

The working visit was to study the how lessons were conducted in Year Six where pupils would sit for the PSR at the end of the year.

The Minister’s team included the Deputy Minister of Education, Dato Seri Setia Hj Awg Yusoff Hj Awg Ismail.

Yang Berhormat said both schools experienced drops in passes either percentage or in Grades last year.
