SEMPORNA: SJK (C) Nyuk Hwa students were yesterday happy to receive bags, stationery and cash aid from RISDA, MARA and Semporna Foundation under their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme.

Primary Six student Nur Maisarah said the assistance would ease the burden of her parents.

“This aid is meaningful to me because it will be able to ease my parents’ burden as I have seven siblings in the family,” she said.

She said it encouraged her to study and hopes she will realise her ambition to become a fashion designer.

Primary five student Lee Hou Ming said the aid would be a great help to him.

“My parents have already bought me pencils and I can keep these new pencils for future use,” he said after receiving the aid from the Semporna Foundation.

Lee, who wants to become a traffic police when he grows up, said the aid would ease the burden of his parents.

Primary four student Alhafizh Faisal whose father is a lorry driver and mother, a housewife, said he was happy to receive the aid and would use some of the money to treat his parents in appreciation of them for caring for him.

Primary six student Fedhrick Nata ak Ricky said he would use the money to buy spectacles so he can study better.

The son of a soldier, who is the eldest with two siblings, said he was happy to be one of the recipients as school bags and stationery are expensive.

He said he wanted to be a footballer.
