KUCHING: A stranger left a woman with bruises to her face and body after she was assaulted and robbed of a laptop computer bag early yesterday morning.
The 39-year-old had arrived at her workplace on the first floor of a shop house at Jalan Pending around 7am when a man in a full-face motorcycle helmet approached her and grabbed the bag she was carrying.
In the ensuing struggle, the man began hitting her on the face, head and arms until she had no option but to let go of her bag.
The robber then fled down the stairwell with her bag and presumably escaped the scene on a motorcycle.
Following the incident, the woman lodged a police report and listed the contents of the stolen bag as three mobile phones, some cash and a host of work-related items.
