Najib to meet with British PM during UK visit

KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak is expected to have talks with British Prime Minister David Cameron today, Jan 26, during his working visit to the United Kingdom, according to a statement issued by the Foreign Ministry.

The statement said they would discuss matters of bilateral interest and developments pertaining to regional and international issues.

Najib arrived in London yesterday for a two-day working visit.

The Prime Minister and his wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor who landed at the Luton Airport at 3.15am (11.15am Sunday in Malaysia) were greeted on arrival by Malaysian High Commissioner to the United Kingdom Datuk Ahmad Rasidi Hazizi.

Najib will be walking down memory lane when he returns to his former college – Malvern College in Worcestershire – to officiate the Razak Science Centre there today (Monday).

The centre consists of 18 state-of-the-art laboratories, including a showcase laboratory and extra prep rooms.

Najib pursued his secondary level from 1968 to 1971 at the college, a co-educational boarding and day school founded in 1865 and is one of the United Kingdom’s leading independent school.

The Razak Science Centre was named after Najib as in the western culture he is known as Mr Razak then. — Bernama
