Kuching Customs sweep King’s Centre

KUCHING: Kuching made a clean sweep of the Masters titles in the tenpin bowling competition of Royal Malaysian Customs, Sarawak Branch (MSKK Sarawak) held at Megalanes Adventure World, King’s Centre here last Sunday.

The men’s Masters event saw Abang Dzulkernaen Abang Anuar, Abg Madzlan Abg Adenan and Edward Juit in the top three spots.

Zetty Sulaiman was champion for the women’s Masters followed by Siti Salwa Shawal and Claudia Chwee Wei.

The men’s team title was taken by Kuching Vipers, comprising Sazali Unus, Abg Madzlan Abg Adenan, Edward Juit and Herman Shah Abdullah, who accumulated a total of 3,398 pinfalls.

Miri Seahorse and Kuching Tigers were second and third respectively.

Sibu Swanz II’s Claudia Chwee Wei and Siti Salwa Shawal finished first in the women’s doubles ahead of Kuching Blazers’ Suryanti Johari and Zetty Sulaiman and Kuching Hornets’ Elfy Faizawaty and Mas Putih Kabil.

The VIP category was won by Azman Abdul Wahab while Askan Ismawi and Mohd Apendai finished second and third respectively.

MSKK Sarawak director Datin Dayang Fatimah Johari gave away the prizes at the end of the annual event.

Organising chairman Herman Shah Abdullah said the top ten male and top eight female bowlers will represent Sarawak in the Royal Malaysian Customs Sports Carnival to be held in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah in Sept.
