KUCHING: A female night club operator lodged a police report after a group of men ran amok in her premises at Jalan Datuk Abang Abdul Rahim on Sunday morning, reducing it to a wreck.

She told Padungan police that at around 3.30am, the gang had entered the premises and started to act aggressively.

They started smashing property in the club, including the freezer, sound system, furniture, all the bottled drinks, the counter lamp and not even sparing the glass door.

Damage was estimated at RM25,000. The motive of the incident was unknown and the police are investigating.

In a separate case, a man told police that his house at Kenyalang Park was broken into on Saturday night.

The man said among the items stolen were a playstation worth RM2,500 and a RM2,400 laptop.

He suspected the thieves had forced their entry through the main entrance, going by the grill gone awry.

Police are investigating the cases.
