KUCHING: Five world acclaimed innovators from across the globe will be in Kuala Lumpur this April to share with delegates what it takes to succeed today and in the future, at ‘The Business of Innovation Forum’ on April 21.

These five ‘innovators’ – Sir Bob Geldof, founder of Live Aid and Live8; CNN International Anchor Richard Quest; chief executive officer and co-founder of Virgin Unite Mentors Mark Thompson; Red Hong Yi, Malaysian artist-architect; and the author of Europe’s best-selling business book Rolf Dobelli – will speak to forum delegates from a personal perspective based on their experience in their fields, on how to achieve success through innovation. This forum will be emceed by Denise Keller, winner of ‘Best Presenter’ at the Asian Television Awards.

Sir Bob Geldof is an influential and inspiring speaker. He is highly engaging and has great insight into the socio-political arenas as well as leadership, communications, marketing in the global village, motivation and self-development.

Richard Quest is one of the most instantly recognisable member of the CNN team, covering an extensive range of breaking news and business stories as well as feature programming.

Quest will address the challenges, opportunities and future of innovation that he has observed from his vast experience interviewing and researching some of the world’s leading organisations from global brands to start-ups.

Mark Thompson is chief executive officer and co-founder of Virgin Unite Mentors, Sir Richard Branson’s network for executive coaching and entrepreneurial innovation.

He will share insights and offer invaluable advice on how world-class teams generate unstoppable growth, how to grow leaders from good to great and what steps are necessary to develop high-performing teams.

Red Hong Yi, Malaysian artist-architect who is known as ‘the artist who likes to paint, but not with paint brushes’, argues how fear is an important emotion for projects that matter, and how innovators seek out this fear to push themselves to the edge.

Her unusual art and creativity has resulted in Red and her art being featured in media such as The Wall Street Journal, The Huffington Post, ABC, NBC, CNN and many others.

Rolf Dobelli is the author of ‘The Art of Thinking Clearly’, Europe’s best-selling business book in 2013. He originally acquired his commercial pilot licence and was a chief executive officer and contractor before he discovered his passion for writing.

These experiences are reflected in his books, where he advises his readers to keep a healthy scepticism about mass opinions, illusions and false starts.

The forum, organised by ‘The London Speaker Bureau’, which will be held at the Majestic Hotel aims to inspire and produce result-oriented innovative leaders who will be able to take their businesses, career and personal lives to the next level with an understanding of the role of innovation and leadership in their lives.

Touted to be one of the most powerful forums for leaders yet, the event will enable delegates to comprehend challenges and opportunities facing leaders today while gaining a clearer insight into meeting the rapidly changing needs of various stakeholder groups.

They will also pick up marketing, branding and innovative development solutions to drive growth and profits.

Registration is now open for the forum. More information can be obtained by contacting The London Speaker Bureau at +603 2301 0988 or by visiting www.bizofinnovation.com.my .
